The app in one paragraph

Know the Flag is a flag quiz that tries to actually teach you something. Four solo modes — flags, countries, capitals and currencies — each with twelve levels, over 240 flags with their countries and capitals. A world map and a spinning globe let you tap any country for its flag, capital, population, area and currency. A live duel puts you against another player on the same ten questions and the same clock. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no tracking, and everything except the duels works offline.

What's new in 2.0

Duel — a real-time 1v1 race through the same ten questions. The server generates the questions and scores the answers, so both players share one clock.
Explore — a world map you can pan and zoom, and a globe you can spin. Tap any country for its flag, capital, population, area and currency. The map ships inside the app; nothing is fetched at runtime.
Leaderboards — daily, weekly and all-time, with single-player runs ranked on a separate board.
240 flags across 12 levels, up from 197 across 10.
15 languages, up from 5 — including Arabic, the first right-to-left language, with the whole interface mirrored.
Profile — a display name and an avatar, with optional Sign in with Apple purely to make progress recoverable.

The part we are proudest of

The wrong answers are never random. They are drawn from curated flag families and geographic neighbours, so Türkiye turns up beside Tunisia and Azerbaijan, and Sweden beside Norway and Finland. Elimination doesn't get you through a level — you have to know the flag.
